I truly believe I have the best job in the world, the feeling I get every time I see my couples reactions to their photos is indescribable. To top it all off, I get to share this journey with my partner Lauren who assists on the wedding day and helps with all the behind the scenes stuff.

What are the best wedding photo locations at Cobbles?

There is an abundance of wedding photography hotspots at Cobbles and here is just a select few of our favourites. We love starting our couple shots with you walking towards us pretending to be tipsy, this is the perfect way to get you relaxed in front of the camera whilst getting stunning candid wedding photos. What better place to do this than on the courtyard with the beautiful cobbles cottage in the background.
It is always nice to walk down towards the field that is only a small walk from cobbles, to take some more stunning couple portraits, making use of the beaming sun or even your veil for those draw dropping shots we are known for.
Ogmore or Southern-down beach is the perfect place for you to take five minutes to yourself whilst Oliver takes some beautiful shots, utilising the stunning scenery as a picturesque background. Having five minutes to yourself is always needed to actually let it sync in that you’re married!
Where can you get ready at Cobbles?
Cobbles Deli and Kitchen is a beautiful venue for wedding couples looking for a unique and relaxed wedding day. This rustic wedding venue boasts so much but unfortunately does not have any on-site accommodation. However, there is an abundance of airbnb’s located across Ogmore that can be booked to accommodate all of your wedding guests the night before and night of your wedding day.
Here are a few of the airbnb’s that we found to help you:
- Yellow Welsh Cottage : This beautiful little cottage is can host up to 5 guests, with on-site parking, 3 beds and 1 bathroom. Making it the ideal overnight stay for small families who are attending your cobbles wedding.
- Dormy Coach House : A contemporary cottage that is situated only a couple of minutes away from Cobbles and is able to accommodate up to 5 guests with 3 beds and 1 bathroom. It is also only 1 mile away from Ogmore beach making it the perfect stay following your wedding to go site seeing.
- The Laundry : A perfect retreat for the wedding couple following your wedding day at cobbles deli and kitchen. This chocolate box cottage will make for the perfect getaway if you are planning on spending a couple of days on the coast after your wedding day.
What are the ceremony options at Cobbles?
Unfortunately being a south wales wedding photographer, we know all too well how unpredictable our weather is and how quickly it can change. Cobbles has come to the rescue with the perfect solution for those stunning summer weddings and those slightly wetter days we are accustomed to in the UK. The venue makes use of its beautiful cobbled courtyard to host a perfect outdoor wedding with plenty of seats for all of your guests. It is an absolute dream to capture summer weddings at cobbles, making use of all the beautiful floral colours from the flowers and rustic texture of the stone work to take some creative wedding ceremony photos.
Winter couples do not stress! If it does rain on your wedding day, then cobbles has you covered, with the snug Hayloft making for a very intimate wedding ceremony surrounded by your closest family and friends. The hayloft truly is a stunning room to get married in and brings that welsh feeling of the word cwtch to life.
What are the reception options at Cobbles?
Cobbles provides the perfect blend of wedding reception options for your wedding day. The cwtch provides the perfect cosey wedding reception room for smaller wedding parties. Utilising the stunningly decorated wooden table that extends for the entire length of the room that is lit up by warm feeling lanterns above.
If you have a bigger wedding party at cobbles then you have the option to have the outdoor marquee which is a great option in all weather but comes into its own during the summer, with guests being able to share a few drinks and have those all important laughs that is a candid wedding photographers dream. Even allows us to capture the wedding cake thief! (see below for Rebeccas dad running away with the wedding cake).

Where is Cobbles?
Cobbles is situated in the heart of Ogmore, and is encapsulated by stunning forests and breath taking coastal views. Ogmore is known for its award winning beaches that are only a stones throw away from Cobbles, making it the perfect place to host your pre-wedding photoshoot and even an additional location on the day of your cobbles wedding.
The venue is very easy to access following your exit from the M4 onto the A473, with it being only a short distance along ogmore road . This makes Cobbles the perfect location for your wedding day, with a plentiful supply of near accommodation and also quick links to the sea front making for a relaxed, boho themed wedding day.
