There is an abundance of wedding photography hotspots at Cardiff City Hall and here is just a select few of our favourites. We love starting our couple shots with you walking towards us pretending to be tipsy, this is the perfect way to get you relaxed in front of the camera whilst getting stunning candid wedding photos. Cardiff City Hall has a fantastic path that loops around the main building, taking you through cathay’s park. Making it the perfect place to take a peaceful break and enjoy five minutes together as a newly wed couple.
Cardiff City Hall is also the perfect wedding venue if you have rain on your wedding day, as it provides an abundance of beautiful backdrops to utilise including the famous marble hall being a favourite of ours. It is also a great idea for smaller weddings that want to have a Downton Abbey feel of sophistication with stunning estate dinners for your wedding breakfast.
It is always nice to walk towards Cardiff Museum, making a quick stop off in front of the grand doors to take some more dramatic couple portraits, making use of the beaming sun or even your veil for those jaw dropping shots we are known for (our style).

- Assembly Room : This is the largest room at Cardiff City Hall and is situate to the rear of the building, with breathtakingly high ceilings and grandeur architecture, lined with royal reds, golds and greens. This ceremony room is able to host up to 500 guests for the wedding day, making it an ideal choice for a large Cardiff Wedding.
- Marble Hall : A personal favourite of ours, as the room is filled with natural daylight from the huge windows that look out over the stunning gardens. The marble hall at Cardiff City Hall is rich in artistry and is lined with stunning Sienna Marble, that compliments a light and airy wedding day perfectly. Let’s not forget those grand doors at the back of the room which provide the perfect setting for group shots and the more dramatic couple shots.
- Council Chamber : A very unique room with interesting lines, making for a very unique and personal Cardiff Wedding. This room lies directly beneath the grand dome of Cardiff City Hall, meaning there is plenty of natural light during your wedding ceremony.
