Fairyhill Summer Wedding | Sian and David

One of the amazing things about being a Swansea wedding photographer is that we regularly get to photograph weddings at Fairyhill.

Fairyhill makes for the perfect chocolate box wedding day, with stunning grounds, immaculate architecture and amazing staff. You will truly have a wedding day to remember at Fairyhill.

Arriving at the vintage Cerrig Glan cottage, one of Fairyhill’s many Rustic Retreats , we met up with Sian and her bridal party. The gang were in full wedding day spirit, with corks being popped and champagne flutes being filled. All being very well coordinated by hair stylist Lara Johnson and makeup artist Jessie Dallimore.

The Cerrig Glan is one of Oldwalls larger rustic retreats with two separate buildings. David and his groomsmen therefore decided to also stay there the night before, but wanted to ensure they kept to the tradition of not seeing the bride until the ceremony. So they made a dash for it before we arrived.

Sian looked so glamorous in her stunning wedding dress and absolutely rocked the bridal photos in the stunning living room of Cerrig Glan Cottage. Just scroll down to see what we mean!

We then made our 5 minute trip down the road to Fairyhill where David was anxiously waiting but being humoured by his best man David and other groomsman David. No that isn’t a typo, all the groomsmen were called David!, well except for Patrick (always one haha).

The sun was shining bright and high in the sky, making an outside ceremony the obvious choice. One of the things we love as Fairyhill wedding photographers is the acres of stunning gardens this venue has to offer, So why wouldn’t you want to make use of the stunning gardens and tunnel of flowers to walk down.

Following a lovely ceremony it was time for Oliver to make his two lines of humans, that means only one thing… Confetti Time! This is such a fun and engaging way of making everyone part of your immediate wedding celebrations. Grab a cone and cover your in flower petals! It also allows us to get all guests in one place for the group shots.

We then took Sian and David off for some beautiful couple shots around the venue, making sure we made a trip down to the bridge for the shot everyone loves to see. Monty the dog even had to get in on the action with some very cute family portraits.

Sian didn’t want to stop there however, so with a quick trip down the road we made it to Rhossili beach. Oliver was like a kid in a sweet shop, with the breathtaking view being a creative wedding photographers dream.

With that came the reception where we get to sit down, backup the memory cards and tuck into some truly amazing food. You may not know this about the Oldwalls collection, but they provide food for all of your wedding suppliers. This is yet another reason we love being fairyhill wedding photographers, its truly an amazing feeling being treated with such respect by a wedding venue.

Following on from some very comical and meaningful speeches it was Party Time! which was perfectly orchestrated by The Brotherhood band. Sian and David definitely have expensive taste when it comes to bubbles and decided to splash out on a champagne tower. This was so fun to watch them pouring a bottle of Taittinger champagne, especially when Sian decided to drink straight from the bottle.
