Being asked to photograph Jess and James’s wedding at Sant Ffraed House was a true honour. Being old school friends with James, it truly meant the world to me when they messaged saying “It can only be you to shoot our wedding”.
It was so nice being around people I hadn’t seen for years, bringing back old memories from when we were both kids. It was truly a pleasure to capture this amazing couples big day.
The most magical moment for me was when the sun started setting during their first dance, creating a truly magical moment that I was so excited to show them.
And once again, I got covered in champagne haha. Anything for the shot!
Bridal Prep at Sant Ffraed House
The girls started their morning in Jenny’s before making their way over to the bridal prep room in the main house. I love capturing the end of prep in the main house with so many parts of the bridal suite providing endless photo opportunities. Even the girls insisting they wanted to do a pyjama shot in the bath!
Wedding Ceremony at Sant Ffraed House
This was a very heartwarming moment for me. Being able to document a friend getting married to the love of their life. It really was something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Who would have thought the lads doing kickflips on their scooters would be stood in that moment together.
Group Photos at Sant Ffraed House
This was some of the easiest group photos I have ever done and the reason being is I knew absolutely everyone there! So grabbing people for groups wasn’t a problem at all and I was lucky enough to even get in on the groups with the couple too.
When it comes to group photos, I always recommend in my catchup calls before the wedding to my couples a list of approximately 9-15 groups. I personally find that this number allows for all of the immediate family and close friends to have a photo with the couple, without them taking too long. These are the photos that are going to be displayed on a wall or nans mantlepiece, so its important the scene is perfect.
Couple Portraits
Golden Hour at Sant Ffraed House
Golden hour was phenomenal as always and even managed to capture the sun setting during the couples first dance.
