Rosedew Farm Wedding Photography

We absolutely love photographing weddings at Rosedew Farm, with the iconic great barn providing beautiful natural light and the breathtaking coastal landscape being a documentary wedding photographers dream wedding venue.

Colette and Mike booked us for their Rosedew Farm wedding day in 2021, with lots of creative ideas and laughter flowing through our initial wedding consultation, we just knew it was going to be an awesome wedding day.

Rosedew Farm Bridal prep

We met up with Colette and her bridal party at the beautiful restored Cowshed that is almost a smaller version of the great barn, with high ceilings and huge windows flooding the room with natural light. There was champagne flowing, tunes playing and lots of laughter being shared! making bridal prep an absolute delight to capture.

Colette had definitely done her homework, with us being immediately presented with a bag of all her important details on her wedding day. This is something we ask of all of our couples, as it allows us to capture all those precious details that you have spent weeks perfecting to make your wedding day unique to you.

Then with the all important bridal reveal shots to both Colette’s bridal party and her father, it was time to walk down the aisle and get married!

Rosedew Farm Groom prep

Mike also got ready at Rosedew Farm in the more quaint but no less beautiful Granary barn. Again Mike scored an A* on his homework, with a bag of details being ready for us when we arrived.

This groom prep is definitely one to remember with a strong hint of Grease Lightning taking place following the lads getting ready. You will need to scroll down to see what we are on about…

Rosedew Farm wedding ceremony

Colette and Mike opted to go for a more modern, hand-tying ceremony that allowed their closest friends and family to be involved in the couples marriage binding.

It was an absolute pleasure to capture such amazing moments and those all important candid reactions which we love to photograph.

CONFETTI TIME!!! A staple shot that is amazing to capture is the confetti shot. Colette and Mike’s guests absolutely nailed the confetti throwing following a crash course from Oliver.

Rosedew Farm wedding photos

One of the main attractions to this wedding day was most certainly the retro American Cheverolet truck that took the couple on a scenic tour of Llantwit Major and down to the Cwm Colhuw Beach.

Oliver was in his absolute element capturing Colette and Mike as they took a pitstop for some photos on the beach front, followed by an essential American car couples photoshoot before returning to Rosedew Farm for the wedding reception.

With food over it was time for the famous speeches, which there were many of! Each with very unique stories and funny memories shared with everyone. We particularly enjoyed the speech by Mikes brother, who took front centre stage sharing some hilarious moments with all the wedding guests.

And in the blink of an eye, it was time for the couples first dance and the classic wedding disco, DJ’d by Mikes brother. There were some awesome 80’s and 90’s classics being played and sung by everyone!

Kind words from the couple
