A Spring Wedding at Sant Ffraed House

Sant Ffraed House in Abergavenny is a very popular wedding for me and I am grateful for this. With such amazing staff, gorgeous backdrops and epic couples, it is always such a pleasure capturing weddings at this award winning wedding venue.

Alice and Martin’s wedding was the first wedding of 2025 for me and what a great way to start the year. Guests who were a joy to be around, a lovely couple and epic weather!

Wedding Ceremony at Sant Ffraed House

The couple had a traditional registrar lead ceremony in the beautiful ceremony room, which was flooded with beautiful light from those floor to ceiling windows.

The brides nan gave a very read a beautiful poem during the ceremony which made it very personal and even more emotional for the couple.

Group Photos at Sant Ffraed House

I always opt for the patio area just outisde the K-room to do all of my group photos, as its closest to where everyone is mingling, prevents any delays and has the manor house in the background making it a perfect location for group shots.

When it comes to group photos, I always recommend in my catchup calls before the wedding to my couples a list of approximately 9-15 groups. I personally find that this number allows for all of the immediate family and close friends to have a photo with the couple, without them taking too long. These are the photos that are going to be displayed on a wall or nans mantlepiece, so its important the scene is perfect.

Couple Portraits

The couple wanted to spend the majority of their time mingling with guests but we managed to get some stunning couple portraits around the grounds of Sant Ffraed House in between parts of the day.
