Rebecca and Luc Cobbles Wedding

Cobbles Deli & Kitchen

We are always so happy when we get booked for a Cobbles Wedding. As a Cobbles wedding photographer we always feel like we are back home when photographing weddings at this unique Bridgend wedding venue. Maggie knows that Oliver is a huge fan of coffee and ensures he gets his coffee fix whilst photographing weddings there.

Encapsulated near the beautiful Ogmore coastline, this rustic barn conversion makes for the perfect micro-wedding retreat. The hayloft provides a charming and quaint room to host your intimate wedding ceremony. The natural stone and wooden beams make the perfect scene for a creative wedding photographer to capture some beautiful couple shots afterwards.

More and more of our couples have been enquiring with us through our instagram page, well why wouldn’t they? with all of those show stopper images and fun behind the scenes videos to look through. Rebecca sent us a lovely message with complete admiration for our photos at Cobbles and with a quick chat on zoom Rebecca and Luc were all booked in.

The Wedding

We arrived early to capture all those important details before the family arrived. Maggie and her team had done a beautiful job of decorating the hayloft and the cwtch, with beautiful ceramic teapots and gorgeous flowers making it feel like a scene out of Alice in Wonderland.

We met up with Luc and his family who were already in full swing with their celebrations. You could hear them laughing from a mile a way, we immediately knew it was going to be a great day. We got the best men and family shots captured outside of Cobbles before taking Luc off to get some quick individual groom shots before the ceremony. Luc’s mum and dad were an absolute treat to be around and couldn’t have been any more helpful when it came to getting those amazing candid shots.

As the family went in to get ready for the ceremony, Rebecca arrived by her rather proud father who took the responsibility of chauffeur for the day. With some quick shots of Rebecca and her parents it was time for the ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony that was perfectly finished by Luc’s father reading a poem he had written himself.

The reception

Food time! Following the non-traditional wedding theme. Rebecca and Luc had chosen an afternoon tea provided by the amazingly talented Figs and Fromage. The whole family were so welcoming and ensured we had plenty to eat. Although it is never expected, it is always so nice when couples and their families provide us with the food they are having.

Being a Cobbles wedding photographer, we know all the best spots to get those breathtaking images. We always try and make each wedding unique with a different show stopper image at each wedding. With the use of a HLS (Human Light Stand). i.e., Luc’s mum and the clever positioning of an iPhone (other brands are available) we was able to get a very creative image in the cwtch.

Couple Shots

We decided in our initial consultation that we would finish the day off by getting some lovely couple shots down at Southerdown beach. However, what we didn’t plan for was the entire family following us down! but they loved Oliver so much that he couldn’t say no to having them all there. It was like a VIP convoy all the way down to the beach!

The sun was high up in the sky creating some very harsh lighting but as an experienced Cardiff wedding photographer Oliver knew exactly what to do to get the shots.

Thankyou to Rebecca, Luc and your amazing family for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

Kind Words

Bec and Luc

” Oliver , we’re over the moon with the photos! Thank you so much for capturing our special day so well. We’ve recommended you to so many friends for future weddings. We really can’t Thank you enough. The whole family can’t speak anymore highly of how amazing you were. Thanks again! X “

Luc’s Father

” Hi Oliver
Just a note of appreciation for your efforts at Cobbles yesterday.
Your interpersonal skills were outstanding. You put everyone at ease and made us all feel very relaxed. Becky has already shared some of the photos and they look fantastic. Clearly your photographic skills are equally as good as your interpersonal skills. Thank you so much for your contribution to a memorable day.
Kindest regards
Peter (Luc’s Dad) “
